This week P5-P7 have been considering how we should face challenges and problems. We looked at a five step approach where we identify the problem, think about possible solutions and what the consequences of each solution will be. Then we give it a go and evaluate if it worked. If it didn't we can try another solution. We put our strategies to the test by working in groups to build a tall tower, that would stand for 10 seconds using only spaghetti and marshmallows.
Each group showed great skills working in their group, co-operating and showing respect for others ideas. The groups worked in teams and focused on the task. We followed the 5 stages and had to try different ideas. Everyone achieved building a tower, but keeping it standing for 10 seconds was a bit more difficult! The winning team who built the highest tower were very proud. Everyone had great fun and learnt a lot.
